WORKSHOP | Salt-Fired Ceramics

with Veronica Byun | Intermediate

Salt firing is embraced by ceramic artists and potters because of the beautiful and unanticipated results that come from a salt-fired kiln. These six-week courses will explore form, function, aesthetic values, textures, tactile qualities, and surface development of atmospheric firing through salt. All works will be made from start to finish during the course and fired in the new salt kiln in the Munson facilities. This workshop is geared towards k-12 educators but is open for all.
