Meet your instructor, Terra!

Visual Artist and Adjunct Instructor: Visual Communication and Illustration Mohawk Valley Community College
Terra Zook received her AAS in Illustration from MVCC and her BFA in Animation and Illustration from SUNY Fredonia. After graduating, she worked as a freelance illustrator crafting handpainted artwork for a range of clients. Along with her current illustration practice, she works as an adjunct instructor at MVCC where she teaches Visual Communication, Conceptual Illustration, Sequential: Graphic Novel, and Digital Painting. Terra spends her time outside of illustration and the classroom painting. Her painted artwork explores time in relation to the earth, looking to the past to hypothesize what may happen in the future. Stylistically, birds can be found throughout most of her artwork; flitting in and out of paintings bearing messages for human kind. Her paintings have been featured in several exhibitions including the juried art festival right here at Munson.
Kids art classes are free of charge this summer! Anyone can take part, regardless of economic circumstances, and we hope to welcome many new participants. Help support tuition-free classes and make a donation!
