Kick off this year’s Art in Bloom with a garden design presentation by David Hutchings, Executive Director of Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion State Historic Park in Canandaigua. David’s talk will highlight his 15 years as the horticulturist and estate manager for the whimsical Mackenzie Childs Farmhouse in Aurora and his 20 years at the beautiful Sonnenberg Gardens. He will cover designing for formal and informal spaces, with a focus on design principles such as form, balance, color, and repetition, as well as plant structure and selection.
