MINI-COURSE | Sit and Knit Intermediate/Advanced
with Rebecca Robbins | Intermediate-Advanced | 16+
Build your colorwork skills while creating a cozy winter accessories set! In this intermediate knitting class, students will complete the On the Slopes Knit Hat and a coordinating pair of Fingerless Knit Gloves using free patterns from Yarnspirations.com.
Knitters who are new to colorwork can choose a simplified two-color version featuring a heart motif, while those with previous colorwork experience can challenge themselves with the three-color snowflake design. Throughout the course, you'll strengthen your knitting techniques while learning tips for stranded colorwork, shaping, and finishing to create a beautiful handmade set.
Students should be comfortable with basic knitting skills, including knitting in the round. A detailed supply list and links to the free patterns will be provided prior to the first class. Students should know of, and be willing to try, knitting in the round.

She/Her
Rebecca Robbins is a visual artist with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art, concentrating in Photography, and a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design. Rebecca has a passion for turning simple yarn into great creations with texture, patterns, and colors which can be worn or gifted. A lifelong creative, Rebecca discovered a love for knitting at an early age as a meditative counterbalance to the fast pace of everyday life. What began as a hobby quickly became a vital part of her artistic identity, influencing her approach to texture, pattern, and process. She believes in the power of slow art, handmade objects, and the quiet resilience of yarn.
Rebecca currently lives and works in the Mohawk Valley and is excited to share her love of fiber craft through Munson Community Arts.
