Meet your instructor, Desiree Zalepeski!

Desiree Zalepeski (she/her) graduated from Daemen College with a Bachelor's in Art Education and from SUNY Oswego with a Master's in Art Education. Originally from Buffalo, NY, they moved to Central New York in 2022. They currently teach PreK–4th grade art at an elementary school and 5th–12th grade art at a regional education service agency, fostering creativity across multiple grade levels. They are excited to share their love of sculpture and clay through the Munson Art Young Artists Clay + Sculpture class—where students explore hand-built pottery, sculptures, and projects inspired by famous artists and cultural icons.
Kids art classes are free of charge this summer! Anyone can take part, regardless of economic circumstances, and we hope to welcome many new participants. Help support tuition-free classes and make a donation!
