This winter, Victorian Yuletide transforms into a Victorian Groove-tide as we look back at the Sixties, a pivotal time in our history. Munson opened its historic Museum building, designed by the era-defining architect and curator Philip Johnson, and the period rooms of Fountain Elms, which were among the first in the United States, in fall 1960. Since then, Johnson’s cube-shaped temple to art and the 1852 Italianate historic home have been filled with paintings, sculpture, and decorative art. This winter, we remember those Sixties vibes as we move forward with exciting changes.
