Deep in debt, Xiaowei (Zheng Runqi) travels from China to Thailand hoping to locate the grandfather he believes abandoned his family—and perhaps claim an inheritance. Instead, his investigation uncovers the story behind decades of letters and remittances that reveal an extraordinary history of sacrifice involving his grandfather Zheng Musheng (Wang Yantong) and Xie Nanzhi (Li Sitong). A major word-of-mouth success in China, the multigenerational drama won Best Asian Art Film of the Year at the 2026 Asian Art Film Festival, while Li Sitong received a major emerging-actress honor.
