Meet your instructor, Leigh Chapman!
LEIGH CHAPMAN is an award-winning teaching artist, professional exhibiting artist, and published author-illustrator with extensive experience in custom fine art stationery. She has led workshops at museums, colleges, libraries, schools, and bookstores, sharing her expertise with diverse audiences.
Her custom artwork and cards have been exhibited at the National Stationery Show in New York City and the Nassau County Museum of Art. Her artwork, cards, and books are held in multiple library and museum collections. Raised in a family of artists and engineers, Chapman began her greeting card enterprise at a young age and has continued to develop her artistic practice, including exhibiting alongside her mother. She holds a B.F.A. in Advertising and Graphic Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology and an M.S.T. from SUNY Potsdam, with New York State teaching certifications in visual arts (K–12) and childhood education. Her professional background spans K–12 art education, museum programming, and collegiate instruction. She is currently featured in a group exhibition at Houghton Hall Arts Community in New York City. lchapman@munson.art
