MINI COURSE | Sit and Knit for Beginners
with Rebecca Robbins | Beginners | 16+
Learn the fundamentals of knitting while creating a cozy matching hat and fingerless gloves set! This beginner-friendly class is designed for those who are new to knitting or looking to build confidence with essential techniques. Using the free Must Have Set pattern from Yarnspirations.com, students will learn the skills needed to complete a stylish, wearable project from start to finish.
Throughout the course, participants will practice foundational knitting techniques, including casting on, knit and purl stitches, shaping, seaming, and finishing. By the end of the session, you'll have a handmade hat and coordinating fingerless gloves to keep or give as a thoughtful gift.
A detailed supply list and link to the free pattern will be provided prior to the first class.

She/Her
Rebecca Robbins is a visual artist with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art, concentrating in Photography, and a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design. Rebecca has a passion for turning simple yarn into great creations with texture, patterns, and colors which can be worn or gifted. A lifelong creative, Rebecca discovered a love for knitting at an early age as a meditative counterbalance to the fast pace of everyday life. What began as a hobby quickly became a vital part of her artistic identity, influencing her approach to texture, pattern, and process. She believes in the power of slow art, handmade objects, and the quiet resilience of yarn.
Rebecca currently lives and works in the Mohawk Valley and is excited to share her love of fiber craft through Munson Community Arts.
